Ya she needs to be able to move the ball well too. Its not just good enough to throw hard in travel ball. Girls can hit. If she can place the ball and throw hard she has a chance. I didnt see anyone who stood out from Santee this weekend in the 4th of july tournament. Maybe she didn't pitch the 2 games i watched.

I am not involved in 10u so I am not up on all of the teams and what they are doing. I do remember a few months back that RR Gold came down to So Cal and performed well, and then did a bit of chest pounding. There was a lot of talk how this team was really going to prove something at nationals. Did they qualify for Nationals? Is that the team that is currently playing at TCS World series? Just curious.

I think they got worked in pool play when they came to So Cal, don't know how they finished...

10U TCS going on strong still.

10U Gold/A Recap:

Good game @ 1:15pm today, Anderson vs. Bombers. Should determine who wins it all in the end on Saturday. Bulldogs and Gamers ended their run this morning despite Bulldogs winning all their pool games only allowing 3 runs in 4 games and went 2 and BBQ in Bracket play. RR Gold will have to play Anderson or Bombers and get tested for the first time this tournament probably Saturday morning.

Knockouts will have a tough ride in the losers bracket as they will have to get through Bombers or Anderson in losers bracket which Bombers beat them already in their first bracket game and their semi cross town rivals.

Silver/B Recap:

VC Venom cruising through but will play a tough game against Central Valley Freeze which is about at their level.

Strike Force 2000 seemed to struggle in pool play but smashing in bracket play scoring 24 runs allowing 0 in first 2 games. Should be able to get through Rebels and then get tested against Venom.

So far only IV Storm from SoCal in losers bracket in B/Silver.

Hope the families are having a blast!!!

Strike Force 2000 takes 2nd in Utah World Series B POOL Losing to Central Valley Freeze 8-9 in 8th Inning ITB CHAMPIONSHIP. As for struggling in Pool play, I would not go that far totally. We lost 2-1 to Anderson who won the A bracket in Utah this week. Congradulations Anderson. And then lost to Diablos 8-6 which was a good game. Our first game against Freeze was ugly but our girls ended up knocking out Venom and battled back to play Freeze again in Championship losing in ITB. Not bad for a team that is entirely made up of 2000's with one 2002.

I do remember that RR Gold team blowing this site up claiming they were the "real deal"...haven't really heard from them since their trip to the OCBB. Guess they didn't do so well....otherwise we'd still be hearing them pounding on them chests.
