WEST TOP 18GOLD TEAMS at Los Alamitos H.S. this weekend

Most of the top westcoast 18 Gold teams are playing at Los Alamitos H.S. this weekennd Sat. and Sun. in a Best of the West 18 Gold tournament. Look at this line-up some of the top High School softball players in the nation will be out there going head to head. There should be some outstanding softball games out there this weekend.

Actually none of these teams are Gold. All of them are playing ESPN/Premier Nationals.

Lots of great options to watch softball this weekend:

You have an All Star team playing the Japan National Team on Saturday at Bill Barber Park in Irvine in a doubleheader. Game times will be at 11:00 and 2:00??? The All Star Team includes Megan Langenfeld, Jamia Reid, Ravan Chavanne, Jess Shults, Danielle Spaulding, Amanda Kamekona and many others. $10 to get in.

There will also be some great games going on at Little Lake Park in Santa Fe Springs. The Women's Open league has the Australian National Team as well as the Chinese Taipei National team.

The Hurricanes will be there with Jess Spigner (Tennessee), Jenna Rich (Stanford), BB Bates and Marti Reed (UCLA), Rebecca Patton (Cal Poly), Sam Fischer (LMU), Allee Allen (Oklahoma) and others (they will be missing several players due to the All Star game against Japan)

Storm USA will be there as well. Jen Mineau (Fordham) is on their roster. SD Elite has several players from SDSU, LMU, USD and others.

So Cal Pride has Destiny Rodino (UCLA), Melissa Brown (Tennessee), Heather Nelson (Indiana) and others.

Scorpions include Anna Cahn and several players from LMU and a bunch of graduates.

Explosion will be playing the Hurricanes at 1:45 and the Chinese Taipei team at 7:00.
