It is unfortunate that in Rec. Ball, most coaches get the position based on if their kid makes it and not based on if they are a good coach. I'm not sure how Los Alamitos does it but they have always built some pretty strong teams and showed that they had some great coaches. In my opinion, I saw a team with pretty good talent, but was unorganized. On my team, our dugout is spotless and all our bags are hung up nice and neat, not all over the place. The real shame is that some of those girls probably left good travel ball teams to play all-stars and now are regretting making that decision. The leagues need to understand that a good performance of their All-Star teams brings in more girls to play. If the coaches are not representing the league in a way that is positive then the league could see a drop in enrollment.
