This weekend in DFW

Hey justawatcher,

Bracket came out and unfortunately although I think you were right on, you get to go edit your picks. The PFX decided to ditch one of the best two teams early in 10U single elim round. Mizuno and Bombers will play right up front and that will leave the bracket wide open from there. In fact, 4-5 of the top teams are in one side of the bracket. Blaze have the walk through the bottom for the most part as long as they play like they should. I hate these single elim brackets especially when the best teams play first. Nothing like taking out the competition early. There are a couple of these match ups in 12's and 14's but not near as bad as the one and two team playing up front in first or second game.

10U picks
Mizuno 99
Blaze 10U
3rd tie - NT Eagles and Force

12U
Batbusters Spuria
Texas Dirtbags
3rd tie - Centex Buzz and Glory

14U
Glory
96 Legends
3rd - Diamonds and Anderson Express

Agreed with statement above...this is horrible how loaded the top of the bracket is...terrible bracket draw IMO...

There's always something to complain about with every tournament, instead of complaining go out and play ball, you have to play the best to be the best.

I think it will be a Bomber vs Blaze championship!

Good Luck to all teams!

How right you are good sir. Would have loved to see Bombers/Mizuno in the ship. My revisions:

10U - Bombers, Blaze, NT Eagles/Pride
12U - Batbusters Spuria, 98 Glory, 98 Mizuno/Centex Buzz
14U - Glory, Diamonds, Legend/Sweeet

I believe HOT Rage from Waco will make a pretty good showing as well.

How did HOT Rage get so good this spring? Saw them last fall and they are not the same team.

Good draw for them with all those 98s. I don't see them placing, but good luck to them and the rest of the teams out there!

I see Batbusters and Mizuno at 12U tournaments kicking tail. Looking at VTD I'm wondering, where are 98 Glory and Centex Buzz playing and what are they doing to get top picks?

We were down in Temple playing in a tournament a few weeks back that Centex97 was in and I would say that they are an elite team as far as 12U goes. I would rank them and BB Spuria as the cream of the crop with Glory98 a very very close 3rd. Mizuno is very good but I think that until they get the fireball pitcher like Spuria has, they wont' be in the position to win out against the 3 teams that I have mentioned above.
