USC is University of Southern California not South Carolina. It was proven in court. South Carolina could no longer refer to themselves as USC.

so here is what I see.

A NAIA school's athetic director posts about what most likely is a great opportunity to play ball in college. A college with a NEW softball team. Great stuff! How much have do we have to hear about softball being cut from budgets.

Have you ever been to Hilton Head, SC??? I have...it is an amazing place and the people are warm and treat you like family. Don't get me started on the golf courses!

Then some typical douchebag USC fan makes it about them rather than the opportunity. sad.

delete my post...I'm fine with that. Just take the other post with it.

Fight on! and Go Stingers!
I'm gonna take this right foot, and I'm gonna whop you on that side of your face...and you wanna know something? There's not a damn thing you're gonna be able to do about it!

Quotes from Coach Wooden:

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.”

If you're not making mistakes, then you're not doing anything. I'm positive that a doer makes mistakes.”

You can't let praise or criticism get to you. It's a weakness to get caught up in either one.”

“Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.”

“Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.”

Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.”

It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.”

Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but what you should have accomplished with your ability.”

Don't measure yourself by what you have accomplished, but what you should have accomplished with your ability.”

“If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?”

NU, those are great quotes from a great man, but are you sure this thread is the best place for them?
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

I agree, that I am not sure why this thread got so far off base and has nothing to do with the orginal post. USCB is part of the USC system.

Correct me if I am wrong, but every hat that I see, every shirt that I see, every time I see something about the University of Southern California on TV, they say SC and not USC, or So Cal or Southern California, and in recent years, you never hear it referred to as USC. So USC West has in itself dropped the U from their own reference, so I think it is pretty much a moot point.

2 other points that make this conversation totally irrevelant are:

1) Of course I could say that they battle for USC name rites was won on the field and in that case THE University of South Carolina defeated THE University of Southern California last time we played in football, so therefore USC East won the rights until the next time they play again, and/or

2) Since SC(Southern Cal) does not have softball, why is that school even being talked about on this section of this board.

And Wooden quotes are applicable in all phases of life, any time, any place.
