Teams that came close to qualifying for Nationals include TNL (came in flying under the radar), Firecrackers 98 (tough draw), and Team Smith (3 bombs in one game).
Every team can argue that their draw was tough (there were a lot of tough teams out there), but the team that I believe got the toughest draw (based on tournament results) and is the best team to not qualify (based on Bracky) was Batbusters-Snow (lost to Batbusters - Ray, 1st place and Cruisers, 5th place). I doubt any other team that did not qualify can say their team lost their two games by a total of 4 runs.
I would say Breakers (Imoto) had Tuff draw as well. Batbusters Ray,Firecrackers 98. Take away 2 costly errors With 2 out and nobody on they win the BB game. Great Pitching Job By #21 kept them fooled all day Next they played firecrackers 98 another tuff Game. Oh well that's the way it goes.
Great Job to Breakers Sieber and Sudden Impact Have fun in Indiana.
the Breakers vs OCB-Ray was a good game, I really thought Ray was going to the losers bracket after Rays pitcher got in trouble and gave up runs in the first inning, plus they couldnt get the bat on the ball, Breakers pitcher gave them problems, Breakers were hitting hard and getting on base every inning after that, I was shocked that Ray kept his pitcher in there, I can see working through stuff during friendlies but not during a tournament, it almost cost them, hopefully he doesnt play like that during nationals, I wonder how many of OCB-Rays parents needed pacemakers after sitting through that game?
