Try to grasp this concept if you can. We are not interested in playing tournaments, regardless of sanction, unless it has what we consider to be the very best teams in our area, the state, or surrounding states. It is not about winning trophies, or necessarily always about winning games. It is about competing against the very best competition available. Our focus is on National qualifiers, HOF, and ultimately Nationals. We will gladly play anytime, anywhere against any team sharing our same goals because we know they will provide us with the level of competition needed.
Since that is our mindset and goals, it is quite apparent to most knowledgeable softball people, that ASA is by far and away the most superior product for our age group. Yes, I am fully aware of PGF and its potential, but at this time it is not relevant to my DD's age level. Surely you are not going to sit there and try to defend the level of competition between ASA and VTD Nationals. IMHO, in terms of pecking order, I believe VTD would fall below USFA, USSSA, IFA and be on par with PONY.
