Since you have gone through all this work on these polls, can you tell us why only one Norcal team is playing at States? Seems like senseless work if they are not out to play the TOP rated teams in SOCAL!!!

Yes we have worked hard on these polls. I only no of two teams that have come down or are coming down to play the SoCal teams. (RR Gold in Hemet and AASA Firecrackers Mothers Day). I am not sure why they dont go play down south. I have also noticed that no SoCal teams ever come north except for Fresno Classic to play. I would like to know if any of the SoCal teams dont get a birth to Nationals where they will be going to play. TCS or Medford?

Regardless of previous Tournament play, why aren't these teams playing in the biggest tournament in the State? STATES??? Isn't this what all of the teams play for and then move on to Western/Nationals???

Just so you all know, in our Region 14 there are 9 separate associations. The "States" tourney is just for the So Cal ASA association where I believe they are given 7 births to USA/ASA Nationals. The other associations used to be called "Metros" from Central California through out Northern California to Hawaii & Nevada. Within these other 8 mini associations, births to USA/ASA Nationals are earned by playing and winning your Association Championship. Some of them range from 1 birth to 4 births depending on the size of your Association (metro). So in reality A4TR its not about not going to "States" in So Cal as much as its earning a birth in your own Association. To go to Western Nationals all you have to do is participate in your own Associations Championships, win or lose and you quailfy. National Qualifiers and Regionals are another story just not in 10's (yet).

Lookinout...you don't need FANBOY to clarify things for you..it's common knowledge how States & Metros work..sounds like SOUR GRAPES to me ..All you people need to relax...I watch some of you at these games and I'm like "Wow..it's only a softball game".."these kids aren't getting paid."..
