Does anyone know if they will have at large bids this year if you are a .500 team.
Last year if you were .500 you were in was wondering if it will be the same this year

At-large bids are not based upon winning percentage, but the number of teams in each division, how many different leagues in each division, and how many teams in each league. Some division will have no at-large bids while others may have more.

Also, if I remember correctly, it doesn't go by if you were .500 or not. They will also take into account your strength of schedule. A team with an overall record of over .500, but hasn't won a game in league can petition and they will look at their schedule. If they played weak teams to get that record, not going to happen.

If I'm not mistaken the Big 8 league (Santiago, Corona, Norco, Rosevelt, Poly, North, Centenial and King) gets 4 spots.

Side note what a disappointment King was this year. A ton of talent at that school

Never said Santiago and Norco didn't. When you have players from CA, MG, TS and AP (just examples) all over the place (and Im not talking about the bench warmers on those squads either) combined with the fact that King went deep into CIF loosing to Norco (2-1 if memory serves) last year makes for a disappointing year.

Last years brackets are still posted at http://www.Cifss.org. King lost in the first round last year to Pacifica.

Sure as S!@#...Thanks Ace. Looks like memory doesn't serve so well ...That still doesn't change opinion of a disappointment though.
