Assumed Illegal Bat?

Here is a situation that occured this week, and i am curious to see what (if anything) would happen if it was addressed.
Scenerio-HS game. Game getting ready to get started. Wondering when they are going to turn off the blaring music to my left. A player hands the HS kid running the music a bat over the corner of the dugout. He puts it underneath the cart where he is manning the music. This looks interesting, so i continue to watch with some other dads. Wondering "are they really going to attempt to bring that bat back into play after equipment check" Blue checks their equipment, game gets ready to start. HS Kid runs over to far side of dugout and hands player (waiting) the bat back. It was played. I assume the bat wouldnt have made it past inspection, so i am curious to know, if Blue would have somehow remembered or coach made it clear to him of the shananigans what would have happened (if anything) to make these tillers on this wayward ship understand their devious ways

Funny that you use the word tillers in your post, it that some kind of reference? So who won the game? Did the bat help?

If this happened in Arizona, the Blue would have caused controversy with the team by asking if the bat was illegal, especially after it went over the fence and into the dugout.

Nothing matters until a batter uses (actually enters the batter's box) and is discovered.
Batter is called out and bat isremoved from game.
If batter hits ball and illegal bat is discovered before the next pitch, batter is out / runners return. (bat removed)

Discovered any other time, Bat removed

If that's a hint, I would even go out on a limb and guess who the player was. There's a family there that has been a complete nightmare for years. The one I am thinking of has been kicked off the team a couple times, but somehow finds her way back. I believe dad is banned for life from the campus. This is a stunt right up their alley.

Thanks. I dont want to sell the player out. Because maybe it wasnt and for some reason they felt the urge to hide it and then bring back (for good luck) like Russell finding an immunity idol. But that was the info i was wanting to know.
