I don't mean to contradict what you are saying, but it was posted on the site, 4-days before the tourney. All the teams were signed up before March 31! Like I said: Did these teams know on March 31 what the pitching distance was? AS far as everyone in softball was concerned the pitching distance was 43' until 4-days before the tourney and then it was changed to 40'. My guess is: Someone forgot!

I have not even looked at the tournament page being talked about. But maybe they changed the pitching distance due to nothing but 12U's and first year 14's playing. I really wish TD's would make teams play in there own age division except in the fall. I think it hurts the older teams trying to better their selves when you have so many younger ones playing up. I understand trying to better yourself, Go scrimmage your older sister teams or set something up. The older girls only have a a couple weeks after HS ball before they have to start qualifying.. JMO...

Not sure why you thought Turbo Blue had an easy bracket with American Freedom sitting and waiting for them in the second round, but I had the chance to watch this game and AF dominated them 5-0 in a game that wasn't even that close. They had 2 or 3 kids thrown out at the plate. They were super aggressive and had a very good pitcher who was throwing hard.

Congratulations to all three teams. You showed a lot of character in an exhausting tournament.

Completely ridiculous that this tournament ended at almost 10pm on a Sunday night! I understand ITB etc, but if they can't do a better job keeping things on schedule then maybe they shouldn't be so money hungry and put 24 teams in the tournament. Good job to all three of the top placing teams. They all battled their butts off. Very fun to watch, just a shame it had to get over so late on a school night.

well i read all the stuff on the bucket about bat shaving and i was a little skeptical ...thought might be a little overblown...but then last sunday i am sitting in my lawn chair outside the fence and the bat plug comes firing out of this purple stealth straight to the fence NOW this is the same bat used by the biggest hitters on this team and the same bat used to poke a two run home run the previous inning......the team response was to scramble for the endcap and get it back into the bat asap.....of course it was suggested quite loudly that the ump might want to inspect the equipment since it in fact had made the difference in the game from 1 to 1 to 3 to 1 with the two run home run. I did not see any effort to inspect the equipment...At that point I suppose the losing coaches could have asked for the td to intervene and have the equipment inspected for safety reasons. But does blue get any training on how to spot this illegal stuff. why would he not use this flying hint as an opportunity to say look down the barrel to find out if the deadening material had been tampered with. seemed llike a golden opp to inspect the gun while it was still smoking.......I know I know we want to think the best of our fellow man.....I know the team has strong christian leadership.....i know that sometimes the devil is in the details....one of these eternal mysteries that will have no resolution.....

Bat in questsion. So are you saying that the end cap came out? Doesn't that render it useless? I admit I don't have much in the way of bat knowledge (and lots of other things btw) but arent most bats charged in some way that supports the beating they take. Wouln't a bat like that just start cracking immediately if pounded like that after the cap came out?
