Without going into too much detail, after what happened to DD at practice today, I'm with you all on this.

DD told me today after I picked her up at practice:
Dad I hate this, I am not going through this again next year. We have four games this week, today was one of our two off days.....we opt for two and half hours of practice/standing around, depending on how you look at it. I guess it leaves you scratching your head, you take a kid who lives to play a game, and take that away from her in less than two months.

We have our same 3-4 errors EVERY GAME, the SAME 3-4 errors. Nothing changes, we don't try anything different, batting order has only changed once, that was to move HC's DD up a spot. After 40+ at bats, our big power hitting cleanup hitter can count her hits on one, that's right I said ONE hand. Our #6 hitter has hit well all year, but she's always batted in the #6 slot, because she plays LF, and that's where the LF'er bats.

My dd would be more than happy to just stand around a few days. Than ran close to 3 miles today. If there not running laps or half miles there having diving practice ! During the games all the girls dive for fly balls they have no shot of getting, so a routine base hit turns into a triple.

Here's the best so far for the year.

Received a text last night from a young lady and her coach told them to leave their bat bags at home tonight for practice.

Today is the day before a big conference game for this particular team, but instead of getting in swings and working on things defensively that need to be addressed the head coach has decided they are going swimming instead. No it's not for fun it is for conditioning.

Grab your flip flops and beach balls and let's head to softball practice.........Classic!!!!!!!!!

How about being told by the coach that this game against the defending state champs means nothing, where not showing them anything!Oh, suzie your pitching for the first time all year! what does suzie do(other than get p!%%ed off), throw 4 inning of no hit ball and get pulled in the 5th with 5-1 lead(error and a passed ball for the run) sit for a inning and half only to watch the lead go away. Get put back in without throwing a pitch in 45 minutes and close out her no-no! The other team could not believe what they saw! But she is not experienced enough to pitch at the"varsity" level!!?? Gotta love it!! Man i love my "ball" Bucket! Some of you will get that:)!!
