10U TOP TEAM RANKING (SOCAL) PRE-ASA STATES FINAL RANKING !

by norcaldude » Tue Apr 27, 2010 4:06 pm

I just wanted to say thanks for the honest opinion on RR Gold and the CA Grapettes. It was nice to see the SoCal Teams in action. I would like to see more tournaments with both North and South.

"Players who have participated on a team other than their own recreation league teams after March 31st of the current season are not eligible; (i.e. a player shall not participate with any other All-Star or travel type team, including ASA and non-ASA after March 31st) except as provided in paragraph 3 above.
NOTE: "Participate" in the above shall be defined as ~~A PLAYER TAKING PART IN A PRACTICE, PRACTICE GAME, SCHEDULED GAME OR TOURNAMENT."

Time to UPDATE the ranking and add some comments- Firecrackers earned there number 1 spot back, so give it to them, Also dynasty is no longer from the rumors and i guess softball factory. Also I would suggest looking at the last few tournaments and start bumping teams up and down based on who has won in a tournament play. As for RR Gold I would give then 4 or 5 spot.

I will definately add the comments this week, some of them are "colorful" this time around to say the least which also delayed things for me as far as what to do with them and whether to publish them or not or clean them up a bit. I've also had busy weekends( :) ) and then been out of town more than I had anticipated for work.

The next and last poll will be after Mother's Day Classic and pre ASA States. ALL teams will be on there once again for the last poll of the 2010 season. That is really only 10-11 days away !

I think definately there will be some re-arranging in the Top 3 for obvious reasons after the poll and probably the 7-12 spots too and we've seemingly had a few drops (even more than mentioned already) and also some teams that promised to be active but are not active at all. I suspect the poll will go down to 15 teams MAX the next time around.

Thanks everyone, it's been very very fun thus far.

Thanks for the update. I wasn't originally going to include them as I was only going to do the Top 15-16 for the last poll and this time around the bottom teams wound up averaging >= 1.0 points so I extended the rankings back up to 20 since those teams were still very active too. I hope everything ended on good terms for this team though and the girls have a place to play for the summer still.

I am not sure if it ended well. But I would be pissed as a parents for a coach to bale out now, especially when most teams are formed and Rec. is allready half way done.
