Storm Elite RR w/ Championship rounds!!!

by MotherGoose » Sun Apr 25, 2010 3:45 pm

Hmmm...no competition out there this weekend, Mark?

I'm thinking the Power, the Bombers, and now the Phantomz are singing a different tune.

Why couldn't you beat a 12U team THAT ONLY HAD EIGHT PLAYERS????

And by the way, the girl that just scored the winning run in ITB is a SIXTH GRADER!!!!

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To the others on this thread. Its obvious you have not seen the 14U Power lately, let me give you a hint and go check out their website. This Power team is real so shut up with the 12U picks and save your bragging for after the tournament. Most of the 14U teams in this tournament would get beat by a 98 team so don't brag about beating them. Go out and beat Power, Bombers, 96 Impact or Phantomz and I will eat my words but don't brag about anything else.

As far as seeding goes, maybe it should be seeded by the results after the last completed inning.

You can take these picks to Vegas

Pool A - Phantomz
Pool B - Bombers
Pool C - Houston Power
Pool D - Sudden Impact

Anyof these 4 could be in the ship, but it will definately 2 of these 4. Take it to Vegas.

Hey Smack how was your book????? LOL! You had plenty of time to read it when you went home early Sunday :o

Agreeded they are the Real Deal (Power or whatever team Jeff has coached) and have been doing it for several years. I'm hoping to try and give them a good game. The teams that know the 14's are the ones keeping there mouths shut. It's the one's that aren't quite sure about second year 14's and the GOOD first year or mixed that are making all the noise on here. They will see first hand this weekend.
Good luck to everyone and pray for GOOD weather.

TXFASTPITCH Coach it sounds like you are scared to ruffle any 14u feathers......you do understand that all the pressure is on the 14's and not you. Believe me, this is not the first time around the block for most of these 12's. Don't be scared to shake up old Mark w/ the Phantomz, you are not in his pool anyway. It should be interesting to see all these STUD 14u's trying to hit the 12U pitchers. I only have one question, is this an A tournament or a B tournament. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

What 12U pitching you talking about?? I have not really seen any that are just dominating, but we also have not played the ICE. I know they have at least one very hard throwing pitcher. I am anxious to get to the park today to see if there were any 12U upsets of 14U teams. The two we played yesterday were taken care of pretty handily and our Gold pitcher did not even pitch both games?? Hum, wonder how we could do that without her going both games
??

As for this format with all these 12's and the tournament being labeled The Best of The Best, that is a bunch of crap and I will definately think twice before playing in another one of thse. It is not even finish the inning, it is finish the batter. That is screwy.

Good Luck to everybody and.

The weather is so soooo beautiful.

Mark

How about those upsets!!! :o

Red Hots (12U) over Storm Elite (12U) in CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, 6-5. Great game ladies!

Bombers and Phantomz played for 3rd and 4th...don't know who won.

You can assume if you went home early, you got beat by a 12U team

I do not remember nor can I fnd where I said there was no competition. There is plenty of competition at every tournament. My hat is off to the girls of the 97 Storm Elite, even the one that was pikcked up from the High Voltage team. She is a very good player and made several great plays at shortstop. No excuses from me or my team, we got beat. Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose, it is how you decide to handle yourself when either one of those happen.

I do not want to take anything away from the players on the 97 Storn Elite but I do think that the three coaches have some growing up to do. Shaking hands after the game and holding 8 fingers up to our girls is not very good spotsmanship in my opinion, not to mention giving extra hard high fives to me or my coaches. It was not my fault that your coach made out an incorrect line up card and I would think that since we were playing straight ASA rules, that we should follow them. Do you think if that were to happen at a state or National tournament that they would let you change it. Heck, I think I could have asked for the coach to be kicked out of the game for using a illegal player but I didn't think that needed to happen. It is the coaches responsibility to make sure the line up card is correct, bottom line.

Your team and your girls should be very proud as they beat a very good 14U team and like I said to begin this response , my hat is off to them and you will win lots of games in the coming year.

I am glad that the Redhots won the whole thing. They did a great job!!

Yours truly and keep the shots coming, I deserve it..

I didn't make it to the tournament, but I have enjoyed all the chest thumping on here this afternoon. My picks are above, could someone who was there tell me how they panned out? Looks like I did a pretty decent job.
