There are only 4 "heavy weights" and all 4 of them are playing 12U teams and weak 14U teams. They should have been put in the same pool so they can have some quality games. With this format it will be a long weekend until the last game on Sunday. Bring a couple books to read.

Here are the teams that will go 5-0-0 in pool.

Pool A - Phantomz (Sting will be the only interesting game)
Pool B - Bombers (This pool is a waste of their time)
Pool C - Houston Power (Maybe HV will give them a game. Maybe)
Pool D - Sudden Impact (This pool is a waste of time)

I think that you may have to retract your statement on here concerning some of the 12U teams come Monday :o

So true asmackdaddy, but you never know. Some of these 12U teams are pretty good. I have been keeping silent about this tournament but I have got wonder how it is called "Best of the Best"? How many actual 14U teams are there in it? Why didn't they just have a 12U and 14U division? I would never list my tournament as BOTB and have these kind of teams playing in it. Also, WTF about the rules?? 65 minute games drop dead or even finish the batter to seed you into a single elimination bracket. I guess if you win the coin flip, it is better to take visitor's because you might not get a chance to bat if you are down and you are the home team. This may rank right up there with the top five craziest things I have ever seen a TD do.

I'm going to have to agree with asmackdaddy on the predictions and playing harder needs to lay off the crack.

This kind of "pool" game, rates right up there with health care reform. Lets flip the coin and see who gets lucky enough to be visitor. I hate these. This is the way BASEBALL runs their tournaments and I hate that too. There should NEVER be any seeded pool that does not finish the inning.

I agree it would have been more interesting to have those 4 in one pool, but then you have the issue of only one of these teams getting to championship - potentially none as they would beat up on each other and probably all loose at least one game leaving the other teams in weak pools with no losses.

My question is how are you going to decide who are the top two teams if all the top teams in the pools go 5-0. I think I read they are only taking top two teams to a championship game??? Or did I misread and it is the top 2 from each pool? Can someone clarify? Agree with previous post -

Phantomz
Bombers
Crossfire
Sudden Impact

Bombers 1st.........everyone else 2,3,4........doesn't matter. Championship??? Bombers vs Phantomz. Only if Phantomz have their "Gold" players.

Rules are 65 minute pools/finish the inning.

Top 2 teams from EACH POOL advance to a single elimination bracket.
