That was my first thought, Brown Eye is the coach's wife...

By the way, I have a great idea for an avatar for Brown Eye, but I don't think it would get passed the Hey Bucket admins...

I'll do the best I can to answer. The designation to be "local" or " national" is basically a mutual agreement between D-bat Softball and the coach. In other words we chose to be local for several reasons: cheaper dues, less travel, still developing, and a few less significant reasons. When D-Bat was looking for a national team, I am sure that several expressed interest, and the Blacksox were the right fit. While I do not know the details of their budget, I know that they will be playing in at least one national tourney, while most of the tourneys we play in will be in and around the Metroplex. We seek to play the best in the area in order to make ourselves better. While I would hate to lose any of my current players, if one ever decided that they wanted the more extensive travel and opportunities offered by the Blacksox team, and the staff of that team wanted them, I would not stand in their way, but I really don't think much of that will happen until 2nd year 12U or later. I hope I have explained this well.

You know what I have discovered watching all these 10U teams with great fast pitchers? All the good teams are capable of hitting them. Know what they can't hit? Slow pitchers!!!! LOL. So, for any of you out there that are going to play these good 10U teams - throw a slow pitcher agst'em and see what happens. You will thank me later.

Well?
What happened at the big tournament?
Y'all losing your steam already?
It's astounding, time is fleeting.

It happens NEXT weekend not this one and we haven't seen the breakdown for the pools yet.

Once those come out the banter will return I am certain.

My daughter's best inning was when she threw 3 balls and got three outs, the inning lasted two minutes. She had done that twice.
