This weekend in DFW

by men talljie aunt » Thu Apr 08, 2010 8:56 pm

Some of you people amaze me. All this talk about Keller 14U and how difficult this tournament will be. Like the last poster just commented, all of the 14U "A" teams will be in Garland. Ladycats??? Really?? Have they ever played one of these top teams, much less beat any of them? All this talk about Pool A, I have little doubt that any of those teams in Garland would go undefeated. With the exception of Rhine's team (which I am not sure if it will really be his full team or not), all of those teams are true B teams. If you want respect, then try playing with and beating the big boys.

For what it's worth...my picks for Keller 14U.

Pool A - Toughest Pool Overall

Oklahoma Finish
Synergy
Freeze 14U (Ross)

Pool B - A few strong teams but not quite as competitive top to bottom as Pool A

TX Elite (Stidd)
American Freedom 14U
96 AXE Brochu

Pool C - Weakest pool (IMHO) Who the heck really knows. Fireballs #1 (a good team)then anybody's guess.

McKinney Fireballs
Girls-Got-Game "G3"
Texas Twist (Bussell)

But.....as always, it's decided on the field. Best of luck to everyone.

Jemima

Excuse me....ahem...excuse me? Uhmmm....the reason there's a friendly this weekend in Garland is some team(s) forgot to send there check in time to get into the Keller tournament.

Good job though...trying to spin it your way...AND calling out the 21 teams that DID get their checks in on time

BTW...how many ASA strap-ons do you own?

Joe - are you serious? Those teams have no desire to play in Keller. They are playing in Garland because they want to play against the best competition. Just like they have several times already this Spring. Tell me, were there other VTD tournaments going on that they all couldn't get into when they played in Mesquite the last couple of times? I am not spinning it anyway but simply stating the facts. And to answer your last question...far fewer than the sets of VTD anal beads you own.

Since you seem to be in the HB spirit right now how about responding to my last post in the future of NTX softball.

I call BS my friend... I know for a fact that at least two of 'em were signed up for the Keller tournament and were declined because they couldn't find a stamp.

So you enjoy taking it for ASA? Are your strap-ons ASA stamped... and do you have the umps check them for flaws, cracks, shaving?

OK Joe 2 of the 9 playing in Garland might have signed up, but are you 100% sure the reason they signed up was to play and not just be a backup in case the other 7 teams playing Garland could not work it into their schedules? As far as an ASA stamp Im not sure, I have never looked that closely at it. Perhaps the next time you are playing "catcher" you could glance over your shoulder and get a peek.

Noooo...you know what? I think it was 5 of the 9...now that you mention it. Yup..it was definitely 5 of the 9. I just called the TD in Keller...for sure, 5 of the 9. Hold up!!! Wait! It was 6 of the 9. Yes, yes indeed...6 of the 9.

Glance over my shoulder? Impossible! I haven't registered ASA this year...and taking it up the poop chute is no longer required...and VTD??? They don't require travel permits or sphincter intrusions

Really Joe? 6 of the 9 - do me a favor and list those 6 teams that signed up. And are we all really supposed to believe that you called the Keller TD at 12:45 am to ask him about teams in a tournament? C'mon Joe, we all know the real truth is you just rolled over in bed and asked him face to face seeing as how you sleep with every VTD TD. Oh and you are right about that whole travel permit concept, it is overrated. I mean really, who wants to have to verify if teams are using illegal players.

I promise...6 of 9! I would never shart my favorite turd...

Oops...I meant he said, 7 of 9...yes, 7 of 9. I've got the Keller TD hotline right here next to my new iPad. I swear...7 of 9...

The travel permit? One of the most effective tools ever invented by ASA... IMO...I mean...how else would anyone police the teams and their illegal players west of FW or in OK...that showed up with their 20 blank travel permits signed by their toothless ASA JO at the beginning of the year....with the roster... hand-written underneath. As I said...this...along with my annual ASA "dirty sanchez" is what I miss most when reminiscing about the good old ASA days.

FOR THE RECORD:
WHO ARE THE 9 X 14U-A TEAMS WHO ARE PLAYING IN GARLAND?

The first 5 teams who signed up for Keller did so early January!
Are you trying to say that those teams had magical insight as to who was going to be playing in Keller 90 days prior to it starting?
Remember at the time they signed up, there was not an ASA tourney sign up place.
Not bashing: Just stating some much needed facts!
