I am not certain I have seen the soph pitcher you have (only heard). Did she pitch against us last week (Saginaw)? All I can really remember about that game was our outfield defense was not real sharp on teh shallow pop-ups and the Clayton girl hitting the moon! LOL. She is a good player. Best on the team. IMO.

Looks like your entire district will take on a younger look for a while, that's for sure. I don't keep up with JV's anymore, and I only know about Aledo's younger girls coming up because my buddy's DD plays for TX Elite and he says that young Aledo team was the real deal!

As for us, we are not too excited about being moved up to 5A and in a good district.
I guess we will continue to take our lumps.

RE: Azle. You are right. Emily doesn't get much help from her D. Hank had us bunting all night and it was working. He did it so often, I thought it was bunting practice. But that's why we love him. Best coach in DFW, I say.

They will certainly miss their Senior SS (KK) but will have sufficient girls to go around with solid bats. Look for them to immediately get better next year! They should have JV players next year that could play Varsity in most places! Their future looks bright..........again!

And one heckuva illegal pitcher. I rarely complain about umpires, but if BU can't see that not one pitch in the entire game was legal, he was either watching the baseball game or doesn't know the illegal pitch rules. When a five-foot-short pitcher replants 12"-24" inches off the rubber and stride foot hits or goes beyond white circle line, I'd say that left arm needs to go out. Don't be scared.

Talented girl though, good speed and pretty curve/drop curve.

The soph pitcher threw against you and had 3 hits, 10-K and 8-BB (5 in the first 2 innings)

I talked with B.Bell at the game and he was thinking with all the girls graduating in your new district you have a an easier time in your new 5A district next year.
