2010 Faster to First Tournament

by dhay » Mon Mar 22, 2010 11:38 am

THIS APPEARS TO BE THE STRONGEST LIST OF TEAMS THAT WE HAVE HAD, SINCE STARTING THE TOURNAMENT THREE YEARS AGO. OUR SPONSORS, ESPN RISE AND NIKE, HAVE DONE A GREAT JOB IN HELPING TO MAKE THIS A MEMORABLE EVENT.

YOU CAN FIND BRACKETS AND SCHEDULES AT THE FOLLOWING WEBSITE. THEY ARE LISTED UNDER THE "HANDOUTS" SECTION OF THE WEBSITE.

top bracket is hardest to get through. #1 overall Fab 50 team as well as half of the upper bracket being ranked. not to mention other programs as well. tough to get out of that one.

Both brackets have 5 Fab 50 teams and both brackets have 4 Ca top 20 teams. Not sure how you can say that one bracket is tougher than the other to get out of. This looks to be a tough tournament all around.

I went to this tournament last year and I saw some great games. #1 Pleasant Grove is the favorite but I think the runner up from last year, Canyon HS has a little something to say about that. They bring back almost the entire team that lost to Sheldon in the final last year.

The FAB 50 and the CA Top 20 will get some movement after this tournament for sure. I don't think any other tournament in the country comes close to this lineup of teams.

My early prediction...Canyon v Pleasant Grove in the finals. Canyon prevails 2-1. Both have great pitchers, but I give the hitting to Canyon

Math is a little off for you (top bracket)
PGrove #1
S Keough #30
Elmo #33
P Vista #20
V Murrietta #7
Cienega #29
Oak Ridge #17

but we shall see, while the bottom bracket teams failed to play their A game in Bullhead. If Canyon is your team to beat, i think they have the easiest road to the semi's. gl

There's definitely an advantage to being the guy who sets up the whole thing.
Let's go for the green!

Does anyone know if they are going to keep their website updated on the scores for today?

Gee,
That's ironically funny....that quote was mentioned by several teams today. Let's see, easy teams gets Canyon to the Semi's....they might do that also at Carew! Oh wait, they did....
