Best 12Us?

by backstop13 » Fri Mar 19, 2010 6:45 am

Twisters might be tough, just don't know if I would put them in the same list as Dreams and Chix. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, but we beat them in the fall 5-2 in our first tournament in 12U.

Shouldn't Team Indiana be on this list too??

I actually Coach 14U and only gave Teams I am familiar with, as Far as Team Indiana I have no Idea. I think the Twisters are good but I agree not in same league as Dreams...

Dreams and Chix are the best around Indy, Crown Point should be good if they kept team together. Twisters are strong, pitching may be a problem

Dreams and Chix are very solid teams, With new pitcher addition Blast 97 should be right there with them. CP Bulldogs is good, but don't know if we will see them in Indy much. Edge 97 is good but has one solid pitcher and does not hit good pitching very well. The Indiana Diamonds (Batesville) will be a good hitting team, and have one solid pitcher. Twisters can be good, but can be really bad also, who knows! Team Indiana has lost a few players, but still has the big pitcher.

Dreams, Chix, Blast, Edge are all playing some 14's from what I hear and see online, so 12U might be dominated by some 11U teams. Xtream, Blast, Edge!!!

One other team to watch would be the Southern Indiana Crush, they were pretty good 11U's last season, got 3rd at USSSA 11U Nationals.

Since this past weekend I saw the Chix97 & Blast97 both made it to the Championship game of the 14u NSA tourney @HSE. The Blast won 2 out of 3 against the Chix. Does this mean they are now one of the Top Teams of 12u? Or was it a fluke?

It has to be a fluke. When 1 of the top teams gets beat most people just chalk it up to luck as no one can possibly stay up with the chosen elite teams. :D

The Blast won fair and square in the "if" game. They have very strong pitching. Think the Chix are better hitting team as a whole but couldn't get it done on that day.

The Blast are or real. The pitcher they added is tough. Far from a 1 dimensional player..She played on DD team in the fall and took us from a "B" team to a a/b team...When she left it broke up the team...12u OF looking to play OF!! PM me.

I went to CG to watch the 12u's and was amazed at how bad these umpires are. There are a few teams that got totally robbed. I do not wish to become a umpire, but if you are getting paid you should at least get the call right. With 2 on the field any thing close should be discussed. The game in which I saw 4 blown calls. 2 for each team. This could have cost both teams the game. The ump behined the plate is in charge, but it is fine to ask for help. If a field ump blows a call the ump behined the plate should overrule his call. It was not good. At 1 time I saw a field ump cleaning his finger nails behined 1st base, looking around almost got hit with a line shot down 1st. For $500 teams should get thier moneys worth. Team Indiana Blue and the Twisters was 1 that I watched. I know you should never leave it to the umpires, but in a close game whom else do you depend on?

Multiple tournaments this weekend, high school Baseball/Softball season is in full swing, I'm guessing everybody's running a little short of umpires. Much as I agree with what you're saying, the fact is, we need more blues.
