Who are the big tough teams at 10u level A?? are there any?

by madwhit » Tue Mar 16, 2010 8:34 am

Yes the Gators do have 1 7yr old, and 8 yr old and 3 nines. Next year should be another great year for the 10's. the battles will really come from the Gators and Cyclones. I agree that it is a pitching competition but both teams hit the ball. All the games between them are usually a 1 run game either way depending on that 1 or 2 defense error. So pitching aside you really need to look at the defense. Error free is the only way to beat either of these teams and when they face each other 1 mistake will cost that team the game. Both teams play each other with a lot of drive and focus....so do the coaches.... even in the pool play games. I think the Edge will be very strong again next year. This year seems to be more of a building year since most of the team is 1st year and 9...so i would watch that team later in the season as the young ones develope and learn. The Chix are an old 10 team all the way across the board but do not have the travel ball experience. However, as they progress in the season they will be very tough. They have a great left handed pitcher. Ready for the outdoor! :D

That might be one of the funniest statements I have read in awhile. So how much travel experience can a 7 year old have anyway? lol These 10u coaches...too funny. "an old 10u team".. lmao

I would have to agree with that ranking 100%. I too now think Cyclones have the edge however slight it is. Gators a close 2nd.

This is truly the most bizarre thread I've ever followed

Even better than pole barns and DD favorite numbers.

USFA INDIANA 10U STATE CHAMPS - don't spend the scholarship money yet for the class of 2018 or 19 until you at least get an NSA 10U state trophy, A or B will work.

Best 10U team debate - let's play "How many teams will these assistant coaches and parents split up to form over the next 6 years" - 10U teams multiply like Asian rabbits.
Hello, 911? It's Quagmire. Yeah, it's caught in the window this time.

If you want tough, go over to Ohio and look up the Lady Lasers, unless you are already over there.

I see CG and the Xtreme both went to the Lady Lasers Tournament and did great.CG won the tourney putting the Lasers in the losers bracket and the Xtreme sent the Lasers home in the losers bracket and finished third.Great job girls!!!

I am just surprised at the number of people wanting to "slam" or insult any 10u program. My goodness they are 10 and if you are on hey bucket to begin with you had a dd who played 10u. did you insult or down play their victories as a beginner. I doubt it. I am sure you still own their trophies. Just because you moved up in age brackets does not belittle those that are still there or just starting. When did anyone mention scholarship money? Heck I just wonder if I will need to buy bigger sliders when she moves upto 12. But for now I will take lots of pictures of that 1st place win at USFA state and some pictures when they lose. Winning NSA state would be great but if they dont then that does not make them less of a team or less of a success. Do we measure everyone by 1 success or 1 failure...I hope not. That puts a lot of pressure on anyone even adults.

CG is great and so is the Indiana Gators...I like the Chix too. I think every team I see is great when they show good sportsmanship win or lose.

And if your daughter is no longer a 10u then move onto a new thread or go back to the photo albums and look to see if you were counting scholarship money or just enjoying you dd playing well and learning more than just softball.

I just needed to say that and I am sure you will all now slam or insult me but that is ok...just dont let the girls read things that say the are nothing unless they win this because they are something win or lose.

I once heard a coach before playing us in the championship game. That nothing in life is better than beating a gator and those who dont beat the gators are nothings.
Guess what...they went on to lose that game and the Gators won. Walking through the line I watched girls crying over a game. One girls said to the other i guess this makes us losers. And that is the farthest tom the truth. they just fell short in a game that day. Tomorrow is a new day. I guess anyone can sign on to be a 10u coach.

I saw that too. I was actually getting updates from one of the CG parents throughout the weekend. Congrats to both teams. Looking forward to the Indiana teams playing late in the week in Charlotte. 8-)
