Anderson Bat Q & A

What's on your mind?

by mkral » Fri Feb 26, 2010 4:16 pm

No game experience on our NanoTek yet but doing a lot of tee work and soft toss. So far it is up to the hype. It is very crisp and seems to have a ton of pop. Can't wait for all the snow to go away so we can get outside and hit for real. Both of my DD's are fighting over who gets it. I am afraid I will have to order another one.......CRAP! :? Aunt B won't be happy about that one.
Keep up the good work Anderson!!

Just received the Nanotek on saturday (2/27) - Thanks agamegal at Notorious sports for going above and beyond quality customer service. if anyone is in the market for Anderson products I do not hesitate to recommend Notorious Sports. DD has tournament games tomorrow so will post more of a product review after the bat has been in service. Getting some swings in today and so far the response has been positive.

Seems to be lots of advice to move up a size. DD's been using composite, 33/23 for a couple of years now. She's 5'7" at about 160lbs. The size just feels comfortable for her and mentally she enjoys the faster swing feel. After following this discussion since it started, she is ready to drink the Nanotek kool-aid.

Tumblebug has said before that the fit is all important. Since I can't find any trial options here in Indiana, I'd be interested in knowing what the official recommendation is for those switching from other bats to the Nanotech.

What say you, Tumblebug?

The girls at the upper end, meaning they are swinging the heaviest bat they are capable of with no wiggle room, would benefit by buying the same size Nano and give their batspeed a boost. Girls that are very comfortable with a specific weight might want to go up one. It's still about feel.

smokenmirrors86 my DD is about the same size as yours and has been using a 33/24 2009 Rocketech. agamegal has been a wonderful contact at notorious sports (thanks so much for meeting me last Saturday to pick up the bat!) and she advised me to get her the 34" Nanotek. DD is dying to try it out but looks like we may be rained out yet again this weekend. First real gametime use will probably be next weekend in Vegas. She does notice a difference in the feel but she is just so excited - she doesn't think there will be too much of an adjustment period. I will let you know how it turns out for her but I'm pretty confident that it will be the right choice. :)

Just picked up the Nano FP last week for our DD. A birthday bat. Yesterday was her birthday and she nailed a DEEP home run, with one on at the Minors Gold friendly.

We couldn't be happier!!! In fact, we gave it to her last week and she nailed the first pitch she took. We literally watched her countenance change before our eyes to one of complete confidence as she gripped her Nano shaft her next at bat. Again...BIG HIT!

She use to use the Rochetech and loved it. When she grew out of it She and her daddy picked something else...why??? Because he knows everything...(Good thing he's cute!!) Anyway, she just didn't hit like she did with the RT.

After a couple of years of trying things other people were using along with her bat, it was back to the bat store for yet something else. Again, mechanices were great and she did fine at lessons, but wasn't converting it to the field like one would expect, and the confidence wasn't there.

Put an Anderson back in her hand and what do you know...Our girl is back pounding the snot outta the ball!!! GOD BLESS ANDERSON!!!!

BTW...Thanks for the Notorious recomendation. Agamegirl was so helpful and went the extra mile as well as the Anderson guys. I was having trouble finding the bat being as it is in short supply for the moment. They answered my questions and that was at a little after 6:00A.M. Honestly, it took less than ten minutes to reply to my query.

You guys are terrific!

So, I know that the RT was an end loaded bat, is that the case with the Nano FP? Just curious, doesn't really matter....THE FRIGGIN THING WORKS FOR OUR GIRL & WE ARE THRILLED!!!

BTW...we did go up a size to the 33...Perfect choice

The NanoTek FP is a true -10 with no end weighting. I was told that the weighting is closer to the hands and that is why I have recommended that girls that swing a bat with an end load move up an ounce.

My DD currently swings a 2008 RT 32-23 and needs to get a new one. I have seen some new Anderson KX Series Rockettech (and Techzilla and a new -11 listed) on justbats.com. Does anyone (Tumblebug) know anything about this new series?
