USFA The Good The Bad and the UGLY

We allow our teams to classify themselves! But we will reclassify them if needed! Our directors responibilty is to not allow an "A" team to play in the "B" tournament. I have seen 1st year teams that need to play "A" and I have sen 2nd year teams that should play "C", i disagree with age pure to classify teams.

I personaly move 5 10U teams to the "A" last year nd will do so again this year if needed. we also have a policy that says if a team plays in any organizations "A" state they may be moved to our "A".

Please send me a list of the "A" teams listed in our "B" tournament, so I can watch their progress this year and reclassify them if needed. Send the list to bobbyhair@usfastpitch.com.

Bobby, do teams carry over their point s from the previous year? If not how do teams have 6-700 points in mid-February? I see a "B" team listed w/795 points in the World Series and we aren't even in March.

They carry over points from Sept-Dec if they're earned in the same age classification.

Teams are no longer required to Age-Up in the Fall, however, those teams playing between September 1st and December 31st must re-register in the age classification they will play the following season to receive points toward the following years State and National events.

Gotta love it - the team with the highest point total, by a large margin, is playing 8u Coach Pitch. Are the college scouts tracking them yet?

If you host a tournament, you also receive a rather large number of points as well as being able to carry over points earned from Sept. of last year to the current.

It does not mean that you are a very good team however, If you only play USFA events, you will naturally build up a lot of points, go to the World Series as a possible top 5 seed and be a 2 and Que candidate!
