Who are the big dogs in 4a, 3a, 2a and 1a?

The good pitchers at 40ft will no problems at 43ft. They have been pitching there for 2 or 3 years now. Lewis, Flak, Thomas, Chambers, Boetjer, Osborn, Harmening, etc. etc. etc. They are still going to be good, and the teams without pitchers will struggle just like in years past. Its all relative.

Yes, they will still be good! But, they don't have the same girls behind them that they do in TB. At 40', it didn't matter who they had behind them in HS. At 43' things will change some! they will still be top dogs, but it still will open it up some!!

I have already seen a couple of pretty good pitchers at 40' look less effective at 43'....with a lot less defense behind them, they could be in trouble.....is Greenfield going to be a viable contender in 4A with the transfer pitcher from Mt. Vernon, they have some pretty solid travel ball kids..?

For 4A: I really think Greenwood could surprise people with some big bats and improved pitching. I also like Carmel alot and heard that Lowell will be good.

For 3A: Not really sure, too early to tell; lotsa good teams graduated a lot of talent.

For 2A: Watch out for Tipton, could be a real surprise with an outstanding young pitcher coming up.

For 1A: Really like Lutheran and Riverton Parke, should be an awesome regional!!

I can't recite hard numbers, what can I say I'm getting old, but scoring did go up in Florida when they first implemented 43' four years ago. Which was the intended result.

Don't really know much about the other classes, but have friends in Carmel. They have 10 upperclassmen returning...Osborn pitching and Jones hitting. Should be another good season for them but agree it will be interesting to see how the pitching distance will change the game. Good travel players though should still keep the game fun to watch.
