I am curious what you mean by "teaching"?
Let's start with a good foundation for someone to go out and make a decent living. Band, softball, cheer are all wonderful activities...and I love my football, but none will pay the rent. More importantly, the real competition is in the workplace. If our kids can't keep up w/ other kids in the world (who get better educations), then this great country of ours will fade quicker than we think.
