BTW...VTD insurance is not mandatory, proof of (any) insurance is.

Not what I heard.... Heard that is going to be mandatory... We shall see

Not what I heard either...it's what I know. Any insurance will suffice for a VTD tournament.

Here is the insurance thing. VTD wants your insurance company to name them as a beneficiary under the policy and for you to have proof of that. ASA does not do that. It is a supplemental policy for medical if your medical does not pay. Not for organizational lawsuits vs VTD. So I assume that you must get a general liability policy too aside from your asa. But remember, not a cheap one but one that will name VTD. Are they enforcing this in Dallas or do the Dallas teams just pay their $60.

Now what is VTD's chance of being sued by listing a tournament under their name on their site? Almost nil.

It is really simple. If you have a team Liabilty policy call your carrier and add VTD as addional Insured.

USFA does not require this because the National office has a Liabilty Policy that covers them for all sanctioned USFA events. Mine also covers Myself and every other USFA Director are required to have a policy that covers them for all USFA sanctioned events in thier area.

93ASAhomer is just makin' trouble for the new guy. Throwing out stuff he knows nothing about.

It's an age-old tactic...deceit, confuse, defeat. Only in this case, ASA f#@ked it up big time and homers like 93 are trying their best to recover.
