Changes in the 14u world?

by xxxYerOut » Wed Feb 03, 2010 3:06 pm

Wait, I lost track. The G8 or GA8 is in Rocklin and has a dd that used to play with mine? I will wait if you need to ask yourself.

Ours is at 43' and believe all Cap Valley schools did the same. Don't know about others.

I think I might have just peed a little...That was funny...

So, in the thrid person, which teams will be on top before the HS girls come back?
Then which ones will be there after??

INstiga8tor has never had a child playing in Rocklin.

Instiga8tor has only seen one young 14u team that looks like they can compete with the olders, and that would be the Lady Majic.

Has the landscape of the 14u division changed from the Fall? Instiga8tor does not think so. So when the teams are all playing in June, INstiga8tor would be quite surprised if any Norcal 14u could beat any of the big three.

Instiga8tor will leave it up to the experts to determine who the big three are.

Did not see their fall, so correct me if I am wrong here. Majic has most the girls from Fire and Ice 12U? If so, were they the best 12U team last year?? If not did their pick ups make them that much better and the other teams that were good lose that much ground to them?? Curious...

Yes - The Magic was previously F&Ice. I can not say for all of NorCal, but yes they were one of the better in Sacramento 12u last year. They should be among the top in the younger bracket 14u in the Sacramento area, but I do not know enough about the rest of the area to say more than that. I think the Heat and the Hype will also be competitive in the younger while HS is in (in Sac), but not sure they are strong enough to compete with the few 95's after HS.

IMO - CA TNT will be the ones to beat at Sac Metro's, depending on how they fill their last few spots. The Cordova Fury have been steadily making progress over the past couple seasons while The Breeze and Folsom Freedom are the only other true 95's I can think of.

It seems like so many of the 95's are up in the 16u bracket now.

12U last year, F&I are the team to beat? Grapettes, 96 Breeze, Salinas Storm, a couple teams from Reno (putting them in with you all) were all pretty much the ones to beat last year?
As I understand it, really dont have a chance when the H.S. kids come back...But these should be the ones we watch this year until Memorial Day? XXX mentioned the Heat and the Hype as well..

The 14under Lady Magic is clearly the team to beat in the 14's metro. They dominated 12 under metros the past two years as fire and ice, including crushing the 2nd best team 96 Breeze. While the pitching weak Breeze has lost more pitching all the Magic did is get stronger.

Magic's last tourney in the fall was in SoCal where the finished 2nd, and had several impressive wins including beating the defending NATIONALS CHAMPS Power Surge in the semi final game 3 to1.

How you can think CA TNT which has what??? 9 players is going to win metros ??? much!

Another new alias...  I'm surprised that one was still available. I used an alias once, but xxxYerOut2 didn't fool anyone. (actually, I forgot my password on eteamz many years ago - before hb)

You might be right about the Lady Magic. We have been away since the start of school. I would not say they dominated the last 2 years, but they were by far the best 12u last year. We have friends on that team and joining the LM is only going to make them better. Who does your dd play for?

I did say TNT will have to do a couple things right. It starts with pitching. If they do the work, they have one of the best freshman pitchers in the area. They also have some speed, good hitting and the size and strength you don't see on too many 96 teams. If they do the work & fill their roster wisely, they have the all around game to be one of the better '95 teams (in Sac).
