10U TOP TEAM RANKING (SOCAL) PRE-ASA STATES FINAL RANKING !

by Love the game » Mon Jan 18, 2010 10:44 am

On behalf of strike force 2000 we want to thank all teams for coming out. There were great teams, players, and parents that showed up. We hope you all enjoyed a few games before we start up the tournament play. I also want to congradulate jynx and corona for a fun few games. You both have great coaches that are doing a fine job with your players. It was a pleasure crossing paths and I'm sure we will again later down the road. You bothhave great teams. Again thanks for showing up and we will see everyone on the dirt soon we hope.

If the Bombers hitting and pitching was “they're ok”, we will take that. Great job Strikeforce it was a well run friendly. Hopefully, the Mizuno friendly still happens.

10U Digest #1 ---1/18/2010.

Welcome back everyone. Seems all teams are back practicing and have played their first friendlies this weekend if not next weekend.

Some updates...

Teams and rankings...:

I will not do any tweaks or adjustments until the end of January, want to see more teams and let them regroup a bit with the team/players shuffles. NO TEAM seemed to have been immune from the team shuffles across the board, some worse off than others. Some news...

1. Firecrackers seemed to have lost 2-4 girls (last I heard 4, 2 for sure). Will they be the same team ??? We will see in the next couple of months, for now they will stay #1.

2. I was all set to push Jynx out of the #2 spot after losing early in the December year end tournament and some lack luster performances in previous friendlies, but they looked as good as ever this weekend and showed they belong in the top 2.

3. Anderson will be moving out of the top 10 after losing 5-6 girls, hope they can regroup and be as strong as ever....

4. Watley --same as Anderson, will be moving out of the top 10 until they regroup.

5. HB Breeze will be removed as they disbanded. Some of those girls are playing all over now, including making up the core girls of SoCal Athletics.

6. USA Athletics will crack the top 10, not sure where yet but they deserve to be there after defeating Jynx in Tournament play in December.

7. Knuckle up needs to re-group and will be out of the Top 10.

8. Valley tribe seemed to have lost quite a few girls to the new SoCal Bulldogs 10U. Team might not have to fold or at least possibly be out of the top 20.

9. Corona Eliminators got some humble pie on the dirt. Might move back a spot or two. Showed cannot beat Top 10 teams and beating HB Breeze in December after Breeze girls leaving and using pickups is not an indicator of beating top teams.

10. SoCal Bombers--might crack the top 10, will see them next weekend to get a better feel for them.

11. Prime Time Elite, I heard split up with So Cal Sobatage after an org / team management squabble, I would've moved them up into at least the top 15, but not until some of aftermath of the split shakes out.

12. SoCal Venom looked strong this weekend and will be moving up.

13. I will look at honorable mentions and previous polls to bring in a team replacement for HB Breeze. Points wise, it will be Strikeforce 99 but that may or may not be my only criteria.

That's all I have to update, good luck everyone...

Hey Dude,
I heard FC 99 only lost two players?- One to 12u and the other to get more playing time elsewhere? Also heard that they added a 99' travelballer from last years SoCal Crunch 98'. (Catcher/Infielder) Give it up to the coaches. Great job guys. :D

WHAT HAPPENED TO B.B, ARE THEY NOT RANKED ANYMORE? MIZUNO FRIENDLY SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE IF 3 OF YOUR TOP 10 TEAMS PLAY EACH OTHER THAT WEEKEND?? I KNOW FC, JYNX AND USA ATHLETICS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE!!!!
