he he . I have read some other post, yea your losers. my second and last post.

Very thin skin buddy or you got a lump of coal in your stocking.

Point is its 8U ball. They are all champions. The only ones who care are the parents, coaches and leagues. Its all about that groups ego.
The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure.
These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur.

Why dog an 8U parent? I promise no one cares about your team except for your parents and coaches. Let that sink in as your ego gets a little bruised. I promise I don't care about your team, just hope the girls have as much fun as they do in 8U.

oh but thats what makes it great. everyone is new and excited, crowds are big and climbing fences. girls don't know whats going on but when you tell em they get excited too. then they figure out how to hit the machine and i turns into a shooting gallery for awhile. balls flying everywhere and bunts turning into home runs. i've always been a fan of dog bowl chaos like that.

i say, if you can win a championship down there go for it. dont know anything about the teams, but hell it could be the most fun you ever have. if you dont give the kids too hard a time it could be a nice time even if you lose.

It's a blast with a lot of great memories. Enjoy it while you can, because evrything will change come 10U.

Good luck!

I completely agree that 8U is a blast with great memories.

Other than the fact that the kids are pitching... What is it that changes at 10U? really...

There's a lot more than a girl having to learn to pitch!

Agreed Sense....Although harsh on the OP, still find it silly to be getting all excited about 8 year olds...Now make no mistake..I am a proud pappy...so like the other OP currently on the bucket posting proud picks...good for them...

Now if they started using words like "Monster player at 8U"
That would be a different story..

With respects to Donnie, to put everyone in that catagory..?
Sorry , I can honestly say at 8 ..DD was just learning and parents last I checked were just happy to see DD catch the ball and actually paying attention to the game instead of looking up at the clouds.....so to be talking about state championships at 8U...?

Coach pitching a ball from 10 feet like a balloon , just a TAD different than actually seeing a pitch from the hip at 35 FT going alot faster...plus kids that actually know where to throw the ball and make plays...

Homerun at 10...actually a hit to the outfield with no fences...homerun at 8...dribler to the pitcher with 9 over throws...

So sorry Crusher...big..big differences between 8 and 10....

Oh yeah! To answer the threads question, 8U Pearland Power has to be the favorites to win the 2010 8U ASA State Championship.

Homer!!!! But if past history continues it should be a landslide all the way through.

Any 8U parents on this board will soon realize this is the funnest age. It is fun later but the girls are not our little babies anymore by second year 10U.

Also, anyone dogging this age group was simply on a crappy team at that level!!!!
