With a new year begining which teams are in the running for 8u asa state champs in Lake Jackson in June. (who do you like)?

They are 8, who cares! Just hope they have fun and are not pushed by the parents! Half of them will not be playing by 16U!! Been on both sides of the fence!! Let them enjoy the sport and not ruin it by pushing for a "state title"!!

They are laughing at you guys making a big deal out of 8u ball, and I would bet my last dime they did the same damn thing. I think if we had known about state champs or whatever in 8u, we would have considered it - but 8u back then was coach pitch and both my dds hated coach pitch - so when the season ended, they both went back to playing football.

There is really no reason to get worked up jrtdma2,Donnie is right,we laugh at the 8u crowd.Because most of us have been there and done that.8u is like pushing a rope,so much information and such small minds.The parents are younger and are usually on the brink of losing it,screaming at the kids to do things that they can not even do in practice much less while every one is hanging on the fence and screaming as loud as they can.As far 8u state goes,just try to take it all in and enjoy it.Lake Jackson puts on great St.Tournaments and SurfSide beach is a great beach for kids and that is all they will remember.(ASK MY DAUGHTER),she now playes 14u and she is the only player from her team at 8u that is still playing TB.That being said try to chill and take it all in,she may not be playing this game much longer.Don't let this crowd on HB get to you,there probably is not very many 8u people on here....Doin't be SCARRED for life.
