Just read the paper this morning and decided that I had to post something....there is a nice article about a Cathedral baseball player committing to Texas along with a picture. With all of the Indiana girls that are committing/signing to play softball in college, where is their fair share of coverage. I suppose the argument could be that Texas is a big baseball power and is newsworthy but a couple of girls have committed to big programs to play softball as well so that excuse doesn't wash. Just get so tired of the newspapers going out of their way to cover boys sports and the girls are lucky to get a one sentence announcement. Just would like to see these hard working girls get the recognition they deserve.

I know that many baseball and softball players from my community signed this year and the only newspaper coverage that I saw was a softball player that signed with SFU.
