2010 will be interesting.

I will agree that BB Ray has good pitching but will disagree that they are not top five offensively and defensively, BB Ray can hit, they are deep bat wise, not sure about defense, nobody really puts the ball in play much against them from what ive seen

You are probably right on that one. I still think both BB teams are pretty solid offense & defense. I think even though BB-S had a few mishaps last week they are pretty strong as well as BB-R's team. Still the top 2 teams in my opinion going from this last tournament but still way to early to crown either one.

BB Snow will definitely need to pick up some pitching to be successful at nationals

Very, very true!

I think this was the topic 2 years ago right up until they double dipped Corona Angels to win Nationals. I am sure the top teams are looking at what needs they might have to pick up for Nationals.

I think he did improve his pitching by getting 00
Ialso think that pitching is more imprortant in 12u than in 10u, as the batters in 12u are a little more savy & skilled? JMO

The problem is you need more than one pitcher.

I would say they have more then 1 but sounds like they are not good enough for your liking. Not sure how many runs they gave up in Turkey but I know the one you think they only have did not pitch every game. My impression of BB-R's team is they have others but only rely on the #1, same goes for CA,AP and MG from what I saw. They will all be ready when needed to re-load if they have to.

Every team has more than one pitcher, but not every team has more than one "go to" pitcher. That's why certain kids pitch certain games.

You need two "go to" pitchers in 12's, since the topic was about Nationals and not the turkey Tourney.

CA has one "go to", MG has one "go to" , BB-ray has one "go to" and etc....

BB-S has one pitcher, lets be real about the others, they really need to pick up another proven quality pitcher to be competitive at nationals

BB-R has two pitchers, their #1 is good, probably one of the best in 12u RIGHT NOW, but yesterday tribe showed that she IS hittable, their #2 threw well in their first game of the day yesterday, havent seen much of her lately but they should utilize her more rather than keep having their #4 start a game, get in trouble, then have #1 save the game as we saw in Chino, it doesnt make sense

if the rumor is true, CA-97 has two solid pitchers going into spring and will elevate them to be a serious threat and will most likely be a top team come nationals

VT has had the same two pitchers since 10u, both are good on any given day, their #1 threw well against BB-R yesterday, just cant figure out what happened in Chino? will be a threat as always, just needs to fill in a few holes and they will be solid, BIG BATS when awake

AP pitching is flat, not national quality

FC-97 needs to add a strong pitcher, would 2 and Q at nationals as is

I cant wait to see the movement during the break, should be interesting, especially since there has been team "salesmen" lurking the past two tourneys

Not sure why everyone seems so surprised that Tribe did well and their pitchers are good....This isn't new....Their team is very, very good and will make a dent at Nationals this year no doubt....I would take those 2 pitchers they have over the top 2 pitchers on any other team at this point!

This team is good...very strong 3 and 4 batters. With a few additions they will definately contend.

Well I guess AP, BB-S & FC should just call it a year since they do not have the quality pitchers you think they should have. Yes VT has a good 1-2 punch, BB-R not sure who u are talking about on the # 2 if it is the one who has been on a couple other teams then just wait for the hammer to drop on that one. AP will surprise you more then you think with what they have, BB-S if I am right have the same girls since 10U that can be effective. FC has a pretty gd #1 who can shut down some teams. MG really has 2 gd ones that you forgot to mention. Lastly Anderson has a pitcher who looks to have all the right stuff and who also will be tough to beat when it counts. This is just another opinion as I think yours was geared to only build up the so called #2 on BB-R. You are right on one thing the #1 on BB-R is top notch at this point but beatable like all the above mentioned ones for sure.
