Whether you two like it or not, it's a valid point. It wasn't meant to offend you two, the organization, or the girls who get cut over the next few weeks.

I never said that. And really my question was more related to the lack of postings on the 97/00 teams.

Why all the bashing? I haven't said anything at all negative about your organization.

Ok let me re-phrase. Why all the bashing? I never said anything negative about the organization whose pole you're smoking.

If I remember reading correctly they may be forming 2 teams for each age group. I guess something like an A and B team. Maybe they won't have to cut anyone if they are going to try and have two teams.

Did anyone go to the initial tryouts? How was the turnout? Anyone going this weekend? Any news on coaching prospects for the 00, 97, Gold teams?

I do not know all of the coaches involved but I can tell you that the coaches from 98 Shadows and Rampage are quality people, good coaches and they are trying to do something special for their kids. In my opinion they are more than qualified to have a positive impact on young peoples lives than most coaches I meet in this game. The majority of kids playing youth sports today will look back some day and reflect on thier experience. Did they have fun? Were they treated well? Did they enjoy their coaches and teammates? Did the coach teach them about softball and care about them as individuals? That is what will be remembered. Very few will go to college and play ball but all of them will have memories. I promise you it will not be about trophies, team names or organizations.
