The ASA vs VTD war has begun!!!

Looks like the VTD vs ASA war has started in Ft.Worh Texas.
Gotcher has decided upon himself that he is going to keep a tournament from happening this weekend because it is in his District but sanctioned under VTD. He has been calling coaches and organizations which have signed up for the 12U 7GG in White Settlement trying to scare teams out of the tournament. Just another reason Gotcher is an idiot.

It was supposedly taken down by mistake over the weekend on the tournament page but you can get to it by searching for one of the teams that are in it like Mansfield Showtime 98, Dbat (Tolan), Down n Dirty.

It is not posted on the VTD right now because Glenn Gotcher and Brenda Grubbs went in and yanked the sanctioning Friday afternoon. I am the tournament director. It has been up listed on the board for almost a month now as an approved ASA sanctioned event. Glenn Gotcher and I have not got along for 3 years now. One of his best friends daughter played on my team a few years ago and she left the team. When she left she did not return the team uniform which was paid for by the team fund raisers. After repeated attempts to get the uniform back I was left with no option but to put a hold on her play ability. I put the hold on her and did not hear nothing for 3 weeks. We were playing a tournament in Hurst and I ran into this player picking up on another team. I contacted Glenn by email first and then by phone. All attempts to contact him over this matter failed. I finally went to Brenda Grubbs and Glenn finally responded back and assured me that the uniform would be returned the following week. The following week I did not receive the uniform and began to try an contact Glenn once again. After many attempts, Glenn never responded. Finally after about 3 weeks of no response, I finally got a response. The response was Glenn went into my team account and removed the girl off of my roster using his authority as an ASA JO administrator to help his friend out of her mess with no regard to the team of girls he screwed around. Since that time I have had repeated problems with him. He has continually refused to approve team travel permits and what I mean by refuse is he would never approve them. He would continually not approve new players to the team. I have had to constantly go to Brenda Grubbs or to John Austin to get things approved. This is just another attempt by Glenn to stop somebody he does not like from participating in softball. He purposely waited until the week of the tournament to yank the sanctioning. He has called the teams that are signed up for this tournament today and told them that I will not refund their money if the tournament is canceled. He also said that this tournament was not an ASA sanctioned event, and that all travel permits would be denied. He also contacted the team's associations and told them that the tournament was not ASA sanctioned, and they would not be covered under the insurance if they went and played. He also instructed John Austin not to approve any travel permits. Glenn Gotcher is a thorn in the side of teams wanting to participate in softball in the Ft Worth metro area. Glenn uses his power as an ASA JO to try to push people out of softball that he does not like or agree with.

Larry...don't know you or your dealings with Glenn, and contrary to Joe Goodman's beliefs, I really don't even know Glenn...met him once at a tourney turning in my teams travel permit...that's the extent of it......but you might want to be careful....if I were a betting woman, I would say Glen probably has a considerable amount of money than you, so it wouldn't be wise to slander his name....make sure you have verifiable 100% proof before accusing him.

Now if he has done anything wrong, that you can undenaibly prove, then have at it my friend.

I know things can get oput of hand very easily and lawsuits are a dime a dozen...I should know...I work for a lawyer...just be careful.
