I think they said Dec. 1st. They are only a few days late. I agree with Lori so what if it is a little late. I am waiting to see what it is before I have judgement.

As far as PONY. You guys think you encounter bad umpiring now ( I don't think that) just wait til you get the PONY umpires. Hopefully, you won't have to use them. I hope they have improved but I don't have much faith in that since PONY has been a dead in these parts for sometime.

ESPN 8 STUDIO

We have just received an unmarked box here at the ESPN 8 STUDIO. It appears to contain an official pair of VTD PONY cleats !!!! These must be the the first pair produced. The letter attached states that all players will be required to wear these instead of a VTD card. Pony is known worldwide as producing some of the best cleats in the softball world.

Looks like North Richland Hills, New Braunfls, Grand Prairie, Allen, Kenedy, and South Lake have went with VTD. Is there going to be more. What is the cost per player with VTD.

Here is a break down of the new registration system:

VTD Team Registration$35.00Required to participate in any VTD sanctioned event. Registration is valid for the calendar year 2010.

IFA Team Registration$35.00Required to participate in any IFA sanctioned event. Registration is valid for the calendar year 2010.

Pony Team Registration$58.00Required to participate in any Pony sanctioned event. Registration is valid for the calendar year 2010 and includes Pony patches for all of your athletes and a rule book. Items will be mailed by Pony to the contact on the invoice.

Team Insurance$60.00
Insurance provided by Wilson Sports Insurance through Mutual of Omaha for accidental and ACE providing liability. $250 Medical deductible with a $250,000 maximum. Liability Insurance is maximum of $1,000,000 per individual and $2,000,000 per incident. Insurance forms are available on this site and are accepted by all organizations listed on this website. Insurance covers all team events and requires that your team roster is kept up to date so that if a claim needs to be filed we can verify that your player was on your roster at the time of the incident. Insurance is secondary to any primary policy.
Team insurance covers all players on your team. If you add or remove players through the season, the current roster is covered by this team policy.
This insurance includes a sexual molestation policy and therefore requires that all adults dealing with the youth athletes are background screened. We do not require that you use our screening process, but do require that screening is done.
Background Checks$5.00This is a comprehensive nationwide criminal background check. The present provider of the checks is backgroundchecks.com and has been found as one of the most complete resources available today. Please be sure that your adults are entered into the system before choosing this option so the screens can be ordered. Once your screens have been ordered, you will be able to check back as we review the background checks during business hours. Screens will be reviewed within 2 business days. Once the review is complete, you will see the adults green lighted on your Edit Players / Staff screen. If an individual fails the background check process, we will contact the individual that ordered the checks or a person in authority over that individual. In the case of a league, a president will be contacted. In the case of an independent team, the head coach or manager will be contacted. Additionally, documentation will be forwarded to the individual that failed the check alerting them of their status and providing the needed action to resolve the issue.
Photo ID Cards$7.00ID cards are valid for two years and are a means of replacing the need to carry birth certificates of players. All organizations affiliated with VTD will accept the ID cards as a valid form of age verification.
