JustBob wrote:Hi Trophy Hunter, Few questions here? I think we are doing what most 95 teams are doing in the fall. Couple Showcase Tournaments, playing up in some 16/18u friendlies, practicing a couple times a week, one low key USSSA tourney at 16U hoping to get some competition? The Showcase in Hemet we actually won two games not one. Not a great weekend but sometimes that happens. The last two weekends we are 7-0(one friendly, one tournament). This last weekend the girls only allowed one run in 4 games. Not that the tournament director knows the score but that is what it was. The girls are working hard, enjoying softball, getting better every week and getting to know our great new coach! We are still trying to fill our roster with some talent and the right chemistry like the rest of the teams! Hope that answers your question...Long time before Nationals.
BTW. We took 4th at Westerns. Older Madness team took third.
My questions were in response to your previous post, where you mentioned some team ranked ahead of you as if you were shocked and full of dismay, then asked where Corona Angels were playing in December as if you couldn't wait to play them.
Now you again claim to be new this, like that's an excuse for ignorance? What have you got to back up your apparent dismay with your ranking - that is what you should be posting. Maybe you could post the scores and teams you beat in that tournament - that type of thing might make an impression. (And go ahead and post your version of the scores, no doubt they are more correct than the TD's!)
And FYI, the way this blogging thing works is the good teams do their talking on the field, while the chest-thumping asshat parents usually get to go home early. I guess only time will tell where you fit in.

Ladies, if a man tells you he will fix it, he will fix it. There is no reason to remind him about it every six months.
