Then you will be wrong. They'll finish top ten but they'll make a liar out of you

Has a first year team ever won Nationals? Really... Has it every happened? Just curious...

In 14u two of the last three years a first year team won Nationals. Can't remember it happening in 12u ….. some have finished top 10.
My theory on why Campbell’s 98 Victory Team might be able to do it this year is:
1. The 97 talent pool is very diluted in So Cal – none of the top teams have a talent level that is equal to the American Athletics 97 team last year.
2. Out of the top six teams – how many of the teams have a leading pitcher that pitched meaningful innings at ASA 12u Nationals last year?
3. Victory 98 – already has three of the four key elements to win Nationals
4. Victory 98 has the best coaches, and they expect to win Nationals this year!
