I am looking for a Laptop for a graduation gift. 4 GB and web cam, can you help?

Now add in extra money for the color laptop, the 3 year in house service (going to be in college, no one at home to fix it), 8-cell lithium battery, printer with copy, scan, print, and you need to the microsoft office for students, 1k is not bad. That doesn't include my employee discount which is way up right now for "Dads and Grads". It is almost as good as the one we get for Christmas time.

Got my DD a Mac, I haven't had fix or update it like all the PC's I have, she loves it and so do I!

Get a Mac. Being proficient with both Mac and PC is a valuable job skill.

Students are getting an iPod Touch right now, with a MacBook.
I only use Apple. No viruses.
Plus, with Applecare, I get phone support, on line support, or classes at the Apple Store.
