I saw a few teams this weekend in Palm Springs using the new Easton Speed. I asked a couple players from one team how they liked the new bats and they said they are okay I guess. I asked do they have as much pop as the old Easton bats and they smile and said nope that is why we use the old bats.

Still cannot believe how far Langenfield's HR went on Saturday. Over 300' at least, probably farther...

I guess the new Stealths are HOT right out of the wrapper. Saw an endcap come flying off on a foul ball
Usually those only come loose for a couple of reasons

Saw that, then they changed that bat in a hurry too

DonnieS - Great to finally meet you in person. Next year we need to arrange some time to watch some ball together. Rain Saturday morning really sucked. I was looking forward to that game. And your daughter was so nice to go out oif her way to let you know I was searching for you... even when she was leaving the park she went out of her way to say goodbye to me. SUPER NICE YOUNG LADY.

jonnypar - Also great to meet you and your family and glad you were able to make it out. Thats funny about your daughter, and also very cool. I too saw alot of mistakes and whay was cool that not one coach lost a grip to a player anywhere on the fields. Mad respect for the girls I thought the college level coaching was phenomenal. It was so beautiful out and all those great players&teams! Look forward to seeing you around the fields in spring and anytime you think I can help feel free to call.

I had a great time all weekend with all the heybuckt members at the park. The games were off the charts in talent, and to have them in a group of 5 fields was like living in a fastpitch dream. Add friends and $5.00 domestics and well, you get the idea.....

How about the sound it made when end cap flew towards the UCLA dugout? It sounded like she hit the ball with a gift wrap paper tube. The next game she hit 300' bomb and a rocket to the RC gap with her new bat. She hit the ball very hard all weekend but it was very odd and everything felt awkward when it happened. Thier was a split second of silence also. I think we all thought WTF? The cap blew out the end... not the bat broke in a spot.

I'm sure the young lady with the loose end cap and the 300' bombs doesn't cheat ... probably sour grapes .... although we did face a 23U team last year that had 3 gals with identical weight lifter type bodies and neck / heads like 6 gallon buckets ... Our hurler drilled one on her 6 gallon bucket and the ball went over the back stop ... & I was thinking they were on the juice for sure

It was just odd. i wouldnt/didnt claim any person was cheating, especially that player.. it isnt happening... but that was definitely a "team" bat.
