With some of the top 12u's playing in Allen this weekend and a couple from the Bombers tournament last weekend.........who are the ones to rep Texas this year at "A". This class brought a awesome rep in 10u.....with Texas Glory winning, Groove, TPS, and Blaze doing well.

Okay I will wade into this one! 
I have seen the Glory play and we have played against them as well. I feel they are the top team until someone knocks them off. I have not seen them in a year, but I understand that they are competing in 16u and competing well. They will be well prepared come national time.
As for the other teams I am from the Houston area and I can not comment on many teams outside of Houston, but we have played the Round Rock Blaze and I was impressed with their team. Good all the way around. Hitting, pitching and defense.
Houston has three teams that in my opinion could make noise.
1. Spring Sting - Three good pitchers, speed and strength at the plate and great defense to back up quality arms. Playing exclusively 14 u and have placed in a number of those tournaments. Took 2nd at RMC losing by one run to the Blaze. (defeated the Blaze in bracket play 1-0)
2. SK Velocity - Awesome defense, solid at the plate and good in the circle. They have played both 14's and 12's. I do not think they have lost a 12u tourney this spring. Tough opponent for any team.
3. Deer Park TPS - Not the same team that won USFA in 10u. They have lost some players, but they still have a talented group. I assume they will get things going once the summer hits.
Sting and Velocity did not travel to the Bombers tournament, but I believe they would have played well and possibly placed if they had. It ought to be a fun summer!!!! Good luck!

Is the 95 Texas Glory team the top 12U team in Texas?

Yes, same team that won 10U Nationals.
They are easily one of the best 12U's in Texas and one of the better competitors in 14U. I don't see any "wow" plays or players, but very good, dependable plays and players. They are beatable, but quickly capitalize on your errors. As soon as you fall, they will run over you.
I like them and the '95 Travelers for a good showing in Montgomery.

RR Blaze Red is a top 12u team in any tournament they play in. The 95 Stix and Austin Storm 12U are also top contenders. Nobody should ever leave the Glory 95 or TX Elite 95 off any list of top 12U teams and if this last weekend showed anything at all it was obvious several other teams are becoming very competative as well. The Flame Throwers out of San Antonio has some big bats and good pitching. The Freeze Blue was a shocker. The 95 Bombers proved they are for real by beating the Elite and TPS, this team has improved quite a bit since last year. The Aces and Peppers are both 96 teams and were able to wear the older tems down with their speed, look for more upsets by these teams.

Spaz, I think it was just that they were too young to truly compete in Roseville. They even looked "little" on the field, but so did we especially next to Georgia Elite (good grief, they were huge!)! There were some awesome '94 teams there.
From what I know (which isn't alot in this case), they have a strong core group. Yes some left, some have come back, but they are now rostering 15 players at 12U. Good luck to the coaches on that one.

95 Texas Glory has a great group of core players and from what I saw last fall, majority of them are still there. I have met there ace pitcher and I do know that last year she broke her ankle at the first of the year and then was only able to start pitching again several weeks before nationals. (Had to be a coaches nightmare) Did they take another pitcher with them?
One player on their team is a '94 - great player with lots of talent.....I wonder if she is going to nationals with someone else?

96 Diamonds placed second at 10U nationals last year and should OK this year but they need to start trying to face the Travelers and Glory to get more prepared for 12U nationals this year.

Dont' think 95 Glory has many of the original player that won 10U Nationals.

Thank You for all the compliments, we are looking forward to competing at Nationals in 2008. The core group of the 2006 National championship team is still together with the 95 Texas glory.
However, we have added some key athletes in the fall of 2007 and now this spring of 2008. Not to take away anything from the 2006 group, they were incredible. This year we are more talented and athletic than we have ever been before, so we look to make a huge splash at 08 Nationals.
Preperation will be the key to repeat, not lack of talent.
On another note, there are a lot of very good teams to compete with in the Dallas metroplex to help us prepare. We look forward to helping them and our team succeed in 2008.
