When to bail and find new team????

I see several teams out there still looking for 3+ players, many who are looking for #1 pitcher and/or #1 catcher.
When is it time to bail and find another team? Many of these teams say they will be playing Fall/Winter/spring/summer, but if you only have 6, 7, 8 players it's kind of hard to play! If you still don't have a #1 pitcher or #1 catcher, your probably not going to find it. Shouldn't you fill your team and develop players? Isn't that what it's about anyway? Just curious what some of think out there. I would have a hard time paying fees for a team who doesn't have enough to play by now! Thoughts?????? Seems like too many teams not enough players to me! I think this is mostly a problem at the 10U/12U/14U levels!

So are you asking if that is a good reason to bail from a team that is still trying to fill a roster and go looking for a new team?

Numbero Uno, I'll tell you as a native Hoosier, I bleed Blue and Gold. The very first Football game I ever sat and watched from beginning to end was the 73 Sugar Bowl victory over the evil empire that is Alabama. I was 7 years old, I watched with my dad and brother. My brother said we're rooting for the team in white, they're from Indiana. Thus another Irish fan was born. I remember thinking Tommy Clements was a god that night, the pass out of their own EZ, the Ghost was awesome, as usual. Clements was sandwiched between two pretty solid QB's in South Bend, oddly enough both of them were named Joe, and maybe doesn't get the ink he should, but he was stellar that night, when he had to be.

And will all that being said, ND still doesn't have a win on their resume this year, worthy of celebrating. They're beating a watered down schedule. I know Purdue has always been on the schedule, but seriously, they're awful and I can give you all kinds of background info on why they will continue to be awful as long as the current coaching staff stays in West Lafayette.

Per Sagarin, Notre Dame's schedule is ranked 5th in the country; it doesn't get more accurate than a Sagarin Rating, nor much more challenging than the 5th toughest schedule. I know this isn't a college football site, but I had to share this info with you. I too am a big Irish fan, so keep the faith!!

At the risk of completely highjacking this thread...you cannot dismiss the "Notre Dame factor". ANYTHING they do is generally thought of as great. South Florida beats ND...gets ranked the very next week. ND's sagarin rating is definitely helped out by the unexpected start the Wolverines are on. But yes, slapper...Purdue sucks.

It's really early in the season coach, I would expect that rating to fall as more data is available. Michigan will not contend for a Big12....err Big11.....errr Big10 title.

I agree the ranking for ND will change once the power conferences start playing conference schedules. However, over the course of the last 10 years, ND consistently has a top 20 schedule (only a handful of schools can say this). I expect them to be in the Top 20 again when its all said and done. USC and Stanford will balance out some of the lower ranked teams left on the schedule.
