The 1st day of the season that Delanie plays for Florida, I become a Florida fan. Have watched this kid at pitching lessons and on the field. Wish her all the luck in the world. BTW, if she pitches this summer for SCAs again, put your money on them to take PGF again.
The coolest thing about this story is her take on playing HS. The Santana v El Cap rivalry is epic. And while arguably the best pitcher in San Diego, she isnt playing on a team loaded with future D1s. Some would bitch about going from a TB team like the So Cal As to this HS team (she threw a no-no this week but still lost), but this kid doesnt. She takes huge pride in representing her school. It is so refreshing. Florida is very lucky.

Congrats to Delanie! Got to know and see this kid play during PGF and she is a true class act and truly fierce competitor!
