Bracky Elite Tourn.

by TCS So Cal » Mon Jun 04, 2012 11:37 am

TCS and Bracky want to thank all teams who participated. We had a great weekend of softball. Very competitive games and a high level of play. Amazing weekend!

12u = Both the #1 OC Batbusters and #2 Sun Devils...according to Brackys rankings made it to the Championship and OC Batbusters were able to come out on top.

14U = Firecrackers (Sota) and So Cal Madness made it to the Championship. It took 9 Innings to decide this one. Firecrackers ended up taking 1st in this one.

All of the results were posted throughout the weekend and you can find the final results @ https://www.triplecrownsports.com/event_results2.asp?tournyid=4852

Thanks again.

Also, wanted to congratulate #17 Fahy who plays for So Cal Pumas Black. We are pretty sure she is the only 12u to hit a homerun over the fence this past weekend! Did it in a very tight game vs Firecrackers (Quarles)...promised her I would let the HeyBucket world know!

I saw a grand slam during pool play on Trussle Field. I think it was the Gamers?

Congratulations to #17 on her homerun, but it was not against FC Quarles. As we were awaiting the winner of the Puma game we witnessed the HR and the excitement of the Team, way to go. Keeping in check #17 might have been the key in our win over a very close Game with the Puma's, in which they led most of the game, whew that was a tight one.
FC's hitters came close, but could not muster up homerun power this weekend, could have used some #17's mojo power.
Congratulations to The Sun Devils, who always gives us, a heck of a game, hope we made you guys look good ;) ;)
It was great meeting the Arizona team and parents, welcome to the Firecracker Organization.
Shout out to the BatBusters and our friends on the team, Congrats on winning the Championship game.
Seemed like a well ran tournament, thanks for the invite to play with the top teams in the region.
To our girls, way to work hard, see you at the workshop and our fielding clinic's.

Maybe you can put on a tournament some where in the middle and invite the best from SoCal&Norcal. The Fresno Classic was kind of a bust as far as attracting the best SoCal teams. I am sure you would get alot of response by both sides. It would be a great warm up for Premier.

Fresno Classic was a "destination tournament" for all the top SoCal teams back in the day, and then somebody decided they could make some money and held a tournament in SoCal that same weekend to compete against the Fresno tourney. Add a dash of rumors about bad hotels, cars broken into, and the cost of gas, and that was that.

The trick to getting something North-South started again is finding an open date, but even then there's no assurance you won't get a repeat of what happened previously. Maybe Bracky could work a deal with Fresno, and use his clout to persuade the money hounds to leave one weekend free next spring to get the SoCal teams up there.
Ladies, if a man tells you he will fix it, he will fix it. There is no reason to remind him about it every six months.

I heard about a friendly this weekend that will host a few of the top Norcal and Socal teams. Possibly the first PGF Friendly of the year :D :D ...
