Most improved 14u team in So. Cal. to date ??

by bpowell » Wed Nov 05, 2008 4:18 pm

I am the same one. As stated in my email, from my experience in my daughter's team playing Crunch is they are a ditry team (soley based on the 4 games we played them). Coach stalls (in Friendlies), parents are obnoxious, etc......

Also, my daughter played on Dynasty with the 2 players I am speaking about. They created nothing but drama for the entire team, players and parents alike. Without going into specifics, when my daughter played for Dynasty, the team was put on curfew by the Utah tournament organizers becasue of the parent and players behavior. Needless to say we did not continue the Utah tournamanet with them.

The 6 core players of the Dynasty team went to Minor's Gold 94 (of which 2 of them were the players in my initial post). Drama insued during ASA So Cal Nationals and the team disbanned.

So unless the players and parents I mentioned in my post have matured, drama will follow them to the Eliminators 94 team.

This sounds like a perfect "reality" show candidate. It's got some drinking consumption, bad parents, drama players and the curiousity of outsiders.

Too bad this team you refer to didn't do very well in ASA states (0-2) automatically qualified and settled for Western Nationals (kissing your sister, yuck!). No where to go but up in this scenario. Hope these alleged drama players don't bring down this team as well.

My DD's team just played Crunch a few weeks back and they had a bad game and the coaches and the parents were fine. The worse comes out of people when they are losing and the coaches were nice as can be.

"Maybe because the coach is on double secret probation"

Only Dean Wormer from Faber College can put someone on double secret probation.
