Although the North state has a couple really solid 14U teams, the physical maturity of the top "95" teams that So-Cal puts together is tough to match up against, even the Power Surge listed as a 96' team. The girls are huge and can mash (1 thru 9) against pretty much ANY 14U pitching. The thing about it is, if you get past one of them in bracket play using your #1, later that day another is staring at you, and its tough for anyone in those heat/humidity conditions to be effective back to back especially against top tier opponents. The TOP So-Cal teams that have two very solid pitchers and mashers cruz thru the winner bracket (just watch the bracket) and play one or maybe two games a day. Saw it last year and the year before. Nor-Cal top ten finish very possible, a Sunday showing I would like to see but doubtful JMO.
