The New Purple Stealth

by RICHARD SKINNER » Mon Mar 01, 2010 3:24 pm

Was at the College friendly this past weekend and Easton was there displaying. Apparantly they have brought back the purple Stealth. They say it's hotter then the original. Anybody have any experience with this new bat yet?

Have you been living under a rock? Welcome back to the present mcfly. My DD still swings the old one. Too early to tell if the new ones as good or better. I'll wait a bit longer for more feedback.
Stay thirsty, my friends

The bat is the Truth! Outsmashed my DD Rain, and Maniac! Reminds me of the old Rocketech!

I just posted something about those bats on another thread. I was at the Palm Springs Classic last weekend and I saw a few teams using those bats. I asked a few college girls if they like the new Easton Speed and they said they are okay but they said the old bats were better.

Just picked up this bat for my 10U daughter she will be using it tomorrow 3/2/2010.
32” Easton Stealth Speed SSR3B Fast pitch. Paid ($236.00) on Ebay NEW
I will give you 411 when I she her play tomorrow.

My daughter favorite bat off choice:
31” Easton Stealth -9 CNT Fast pitch Bat SCN5B; Paid ($50.00) USED on Ebay. Go figure!!!!!
She is the clean up hitter on her travel team. She hits booms with this bat and when facing fast pitchers she hits line drives true the infield with this bat.

She has several bats that I have bought for her she also has.
31” DeMarini CF3 Black Paid ($279.00) NEW last seasons hot bat good bat the problem is a small sweet spot not very long if she misses the sweet spot it’s a routine out.

She also has:
31” Louisville Slugger TPS H2 Hybrid Softball Bat. Paid ($140.00) Used on Ebay Retails for (300.00)
This bat is ok she did not like the feel of it.
I have my friends daughter trying this bat out and she likes it she was using an Anderson Rocketech and she likes this bat.

32” TPS Zephyr FP85Z Fastpitch Softball Bat Paid ($100.00) Used
This bat was ok my daughter never really tried it.
I used it for team practices.
Average bat I used it for hitting infield and out field fly balls to the girls on our team.

No disrespect but she's only 10 and maybe 9. Any bat that is pink and has pictures of butterflies and cherries on it would be great

Dont take this the wrong way, but is your DD a GIANT (32", huge bat for a 10U player ) :o ;) IMO...

Since the whole point (well, at least part of it) of the new rules was to cool the bats down (or at least have them not get any hotter than when the wrapper came off), I don't see how the new bats could be hotter.

DD has been using the old black & purple stealth and recently got the new white Stealth Speed. She likes it quite a bit. I don't think it has the pop of her old bat, but I do think it has a bigger sweet spot. I think it also happens to be a good balance for her. It is an inch longer with same weight and she is hitting quite nicely with it. Granted it is HS, but in the scrimmages today she went 3 for 4, walk, triple and the one out was raked to the left fielder who made a pretty good play to get it.

She's happy with it.

From what i've heard most players like the bat but will agree that it is not as good as the older EASTONS.......To me also sounds different on contact than the older EASTONS!

411 on The New Purple Stealth my daughter likes the bat she said see needs to adjust to the weight of the bat.
She got two at bats walked the first time and got single second at bat.
Good pop of the bat.
