Fountain Valley Breeze did not show up on sunday

by softballdad » Tue Nov 10, 2009 3:43 pm

Fountain Valley Breeze did not showed up to the SC pride Friendly no call nothing warning to other teams. There were 4 teams schedule to play early Ca Cruisers, Power Surge, Firecrackers, and Fountain Valley Breeze 7:30 and 9:am there is only 2 fields at this park the rest of the teams were coming at 11am the umpires were there at 7:30 so the 1st game had 4 umpires and the 2nd game 4 umpires so SC Pride is $200 dollars short before they even sell a hot dog So warning to other teams that host friendlies.
I believe in getting into hot water. I think it keeps you clean.

I have never heard of Fountain Valley Breeze so it is probably a rec ball team that just went travel but they should be ashamed. How in the world do you sign up, get a schedule and then leave a team high and dry. Warning: Look out for Fountain Valley Breeze

I have ya about the $200 loss before you even got started but It also really screwed up everyones schedule in a small friendly.

FC 95.....leave the house at 5:30.....get to the awesome San Clemente fields at 6:30...other team no show for 7:30 game. No game till 9:00

Thanks to SC Pride for re-arranging the schedule to get us all 3 games....
I'm gonna take this right foot, and I'm gonna whop you on that side of your face...and you wanna know something? There's not a damn thing you're gonna be able to do about it!

Speaking to them, he says he never had the intention to even play down at the friendly despite the Pride organizers sending multiple emails needing him to play. He said he declined to play that weekend in plenty of time as was already scheduled for a tournament which was paid for and planned.

He was not stiffing anyone as he had been down there 2-3 times, already - maybe miscommunication between both parties? I know my team (95') prides itself on being very organized with high degree of quality, sportsmanship and having others jump on this is concerning to me - thus, I wanted to at least post what was told to me - On the surface it seems to be miscommunication between both parties. On behalf of my team, I apologize for the inconvenience to the other teams/players.
