I recall PS96 picking up some players 2 years ago for pool play in the TCS Memorial Day Classic because so many of their players were in HS championship games that day.

Watched a epic game in San Diego tonight Rancho Bernardo lost to Bointa Vista. Final score was 18-17 most exciting game I've seen in a long time. RB beat Scripps Ranch 5-1 now get a rematch on Sat with Bonita for title.

And in Div 6, Shadow Hills out of Indio had to forfeit due to illegal batting practice. Wonder who took and then turned in the video evidence mentioned in the press release????

Some coaches are so foolish. It's not like they don't know the rules.

Believe it or not...had to tell a team this season who had new coaches the rules. Told them not to do it or someone from their league would turn them in. She did she thought it was illegal but her AD said it wasn't. She was going to have a talk with him. Sad!!!

It's only for CIF-SS for playoff games, so I believe the rule was put in place so home teams wouldn't have an advantage - especially with the distances some teams have to travel. IMO the rule goes overboard by banning typical warmup routines that occur on the field just prior to the game. Seems like there are 1-2 incidents each year.

In another semi, Torrey Pines beat Poway. Rachel Nasland threw a 2 hitter and struck out 17, with 11 Ks in a row at one point.

In CIF finals on Saturday RB beat Bonita 9-4, but made interesting by leaving 14 on base, mostly due to 11 walks. Torrey Pines beat Carlsbad 1-0. Nasland had a no hitter broken up in the 7th. Nasland struck out 8, and retired 18 in a row, finishing with
the one hitter.
