Division 2:
Millikan over Ayala 5-3
Lakewood over Chino Hills 2-0
That sets up an all Moore league semifinal between two heated rivals. Should be a doozy...

You are correct - http://www.cifsds.org/images/Softball_C ... 2-2013.pdf.
I recall PS96 picking up some players 2 years ago for pool play in the TCS Memorial Day Classic because so many of their players were in HS championship games that day.
FWIW, LA City Section is also 5/25 - http://www.cif-la.org/ourpages/auto/200 ... lletin.doc.

Some coaches are so foolish. It's not like they don't know the rules.

Why does this rule exist.

It's only for CIF-SS for playoff games, so I believe the rule was put in place so home teams wouldn't have an advantage - especially with the distances some teams have to travel. IMO the rule goes overboard by banning typical warmup routines that occur on the field just prior to the game. Seems like there are 1-2 incidents each year.
