I do also agree that keeping someone incarcerated for a life term is even more expensive. Holding someone behind bars for life only places burden on the system which we all support. That includes the victoms. Once convicted beyond a doubt. Absolute proof, ie; DNA, Fingerprint, Videotape, etc. No reason to keep them here. Not fit for above ground existance. While this may seem harsh it is just my opinion. I understand and respect the views and opinions of everyone , but in this case as well as in any case of a premetitated crime I believe there should be no deals. Maximum penalty period. My .02

dirtlover wrote:jtat32, you may be correct with those #'s. Unfortunitly our bleeding heart society has brought us to that point. It is sad when keeping someone behind bars for life is cheaper than a well placed bullet. In the end it is the kids that suffer the most. I coached for many years and absolutely love all the kids I have spent time with on the dirt . You are there to teach, guide and protect, to help them become the best they can be. It sickens me that anyone would violate the trust of these young ladies. But in the end without proper punishment the crimes will continue. Sad but true.

DNA evidence comes out that proves otherwise
