If I may rain on the parade a little, I'd like to offer a little unsolicited advice (a staple of message boards) to those just starting out with their dd's.
Try with all your might to restrain yourself from "going over the mistakes" on the car ride home. Don't even bring up the game unless it's obvious SHE wants to talk about it (this will be when she or the team kicks ass mostly

).
Next time you take her to the field, the cages or your back yard for tee work/pitching practice THEN go over the learning points of the game. Your advice will be better received and your dd may still actually
like softball 5 years from now.
